Pan and Aadhar Link
PAN Aadhaar Link - How to Link Aadhar Number With PAN Card Online Before Deadline
The last date for linking Aadhaar with PAN is 30th June 2023. PAN will become inoperative from 1st July 2023 if it is not linked with Aadhaar.
By June 30, 2023, every resident who has a PAN card must also connect it to their Aadhaar card. All taxpayers possessing PAN cards must connect them to their Aadhaar cards by the deadline or face penalties from the government. Before seeking to connect PAN and Aadhaar, however, a late fee of Rs. 1,000 must be paid. The PAN card will stop working on July 1st 2023 if the PAN-Aadhaar linkage is not completed by June 30th 2023. Consequently, make sure your PAN card is connected to your Aadhaar card.
Every Indian resident has an Aadhaar card that has a unique 12-digit number on it that is given out by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It is an identity number that facilitates access to the cardholder's records, including biometrics and contact information, from a government database.
Anyone who lives in India and is at least 18 years old and of either gender is eligible to freely sign up for an Aadhaar number. The application procedure is free. Once a person enrols, the database permanently stores all of their information. Aadhaar numbers can only be assigned to one individual.
How can you tell whether your PAN card and Aadhaar are connected or Linked?
The deadline for PAN-Aadhaar connection has been moved up from March 31, 2022, to June 30, 2023. However, March 31, 2022 was the last day to connect PAN and Aadhaar without incurring a punishment. Now, there is a Rs. 1,000 punishment associated with connecting PAN and Aadhaar.
It should be noted that the income tax agency will not process your income tax returns if PAN and Aadhaar are not connected when you submit them. To connect the two identification cards in both situations—identical names in the two databases or a scenario where there is a little discrepancy—people may go to the official Income Tax e-filing website.
The procedures below might help you determine if your PAN and Aadhaar cards are connected if you're unsure:
1. Go to the income tax filing website. The 'Link Aadhaar Status' link may be found on the homepage's fast links.
2. Click "View Link Aadhaar Status" after entering your PAN and Aadhaar number.
You will now see a pop-up as shown below if your PAN and Aadhaar are not connected. To connect them, just adhere to these procedures. You may continue with your income tax filing at Estabizz Fintech if they are already connected.
How do you connect your Aadhaar and PAN?
There are two primary stages to connecting your PAN and Aadhar:
I. Fee payment for AY 2023–24.
II. Submit the request for an Aadhaar-PAN connection.
Keep these documents on hand:

On the income tax e-filing portal, you have the option of paying the late penalty via net banking, a debit card, cash, NEFT/RTGS, or a payment gateway. However, if you have a bank account with one of the permitted banks listed below, you may pay the fine using the payment gateway option:

II. Submit Requests for Aadhaar Number and PAN Linking Offline or Online
By going on to the Income Tax e-filing website, you may connect your PAN and Aadhaar number online. Additionally, you may do it by SMS. Your PAN may be linked to your Aadhaar in three different ways:
In the absence of signing into your account
2. Accessing your account online
3. SMS-based Aadhaar and PAN linking
Method 1: Not using your account's login information
Step 1: Visit the Income Tax e-filing site as the first step. Select the 'Link Aadhaar' option under fast links.
Step 2. The second step is to enter your PAN and Aadhaar numbers and then click "Validate."
Step 3: Click the "Link Aadhaar" button after entering your name as it appears on your Aadhaar card and your cellphone number.
Step 4: Enter the OTP that was sent to your cell phone and press "Validate."
Step 5: The UIDAI will receive the request for PAN Aadhaar linkage and validate it.
If the e-filing portal's payment information cannot be validated:
You will get the pop-up message "Payments details not found" after authenticating PAN and Aadhaar. Since payment is necessary before submitting the request for an Aadhaar PAN link, click the "Continue to Pay Through e-Pay Tax" option to proceed with the fee payment.
You must finish the request for connecting PAN and Aadhaar by making the payment using e-Pay Tax.
Method 2: Accessing Your Account Online
Step 1: If you haven't already, register for an account on the income tax e-filing site.
Step 2: Enter the user ID to log in to the income tax department's e-filing system.
Step 3: Verify the secure access notice you received and type the password. And then press 'Continue' to go on.
Step 4: Click 'Link Aadhaar' after signing in to the website. Alternately, you may access "My Profile" and choose "Link Aadhaar" from the "Personal Details" menu.
Step 5: Type in your Aadhaar number and press "Validate."
Step 6: You will see a pop-up notification confirming the successful linking of your PAN card and Aadhaar number.
Method 3: SMS-based Aadhaar and PAN linking
You may now connect your PAN and Aadhaar by SMS. The income tax division has recommended people to use an SMS-based option to connect their Aadhaar and PAN. You may accomplish that by texting the number 56161 or 567678. From your registered cellphone number, send an SMS in the following format to 567678 or 56161:
UIDPANSPACE>12 digit Aadhaar>10 digit PAN>12 digits
How Can I Fix This Error Message?
How to fix the EF30032 problem How about "The PAN is already a client for an ERI"?
How can I fix the "This PAN is already client until date" error code EF500096?
A person or organisation that is permitted to submit tax returns on behalf of taxpayers is known as an ERI (e-return Intermediary). Taxpayer cannot serve as a client for more than one ERI. You may see this issue while attempting to connect your PAN to your Aadhaar if your PAN is already a client for an ERI
By taking the following actions, you may easily deactivate the prior e-return Intermediary:
Step 1: Open the e-filing portal and choose the e-return Intermediary option from the dropdown list as seen below.
Step 2: choose deactivate
Step 3: Selected ERI will be effectively disabled. After your prior ERI has been successfully deactivated, you may add as your new ERI and continue submitting your ITRs.
FAQ
I saw an authentication failure warning when I attempted to connect my PAN and Aadhar. What ought I to do?
Your PAN and Aadhaar's values do not match, which results in the authentication failing. You may verify the accuracy of information such as name, birthdate, and cellphone number, among others.
In the event that the name or date of birth do not match, how can I connect my PAN and Aadhaar?
Enter your PAN, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, and mobile number information as they appear on your Aadhaar card to start the Aadhaar linking procedure. The income tax department will then send an OTP to the designated mobile number to complete the linkage. You must amend the information on your Aadhaar card if the date of birth is incorrect.
If my PAN and Aadhaar are not connected, can I still submit my ITR?
When completing your income tax return, you must reference your Aadhaar number. You must provide an Aadhaar enrollment number in the absence of an Aadhaar number.
Is it necessary for an NRI to connect their PAN and Aadhaar?
Aadhaar numbers are only available to Indian residents. A resident is someone who has spent at least 182 days in India within the 12 months before to the application date for an Aadhaar. An NRI is not required to get their own Aadhaar and connect it to their PAN.
