Sahara return Portal: Step-by-step instructions for Sahara group depositors seeking a return.

Genuine and authentic depositors of the four Sahara Societies listed below are entitled for a return through the CRCS Sahara return Portal.

On July 18, 2023, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah unveiled the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)-Sahara Refund Portal.

Who gets paid first?

Amit Shah said that the first payment of up to Rs10,000 would be issued via this platform to 1 crore investors who have contributed Rs 10,000 or more. Shah claimed that the whole data of all four societies is accessible online for use on this platform.

Who qualifies for a refund through the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal?

Genuine and authentic depositors of the four Sahara Societies listed below are entitled for a return through the CRCS Sahara return Portal: a. Kolkata-based Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited. b. Lucknow-based Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited. c. Bhopal-based Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited. d. Hyderabad-based Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited.

What papers must be submitted with the Claim?

The following papers should be attached by the depositor:

  1. Deposit certificate/Passbook b. Claim Request Form c. PAN Card (if the claim amount exceeds Rs. 50,000/-)

Aadhaar-seeding of a bank account, membership number, and Aadhaar-linked mobile number are all required.

It should be noted that the depositor must fill out a single claim form with all of the claim details for each deposit across all Sahara societies where the depositor has overdue dues, one by one.

Are there any fees associated with submitting the Claim form?

No, it is completely free.

When will Sahara investors be reimbursed?

Shah claimed that the money will be sent to the claimants’ bank accounts within 45 days.

After investors submit their applications, the Sahara group committee will review the information within 30 days. Investors will be notified through SMS or internet within the following 15 days, or within 45 days after application.

The claimed amount will be credited immediately to the depositor’s Aadhaar seeded bank account 45 days following the successful claim submission.

How to Sign Up for the Sahara Refund Portal

Step 1: Go to the CRCS Refund Portal at https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in.

Step 2: To register, input your 12 digit Membership Number, last 4 digit Aadhaar Number, 10 digit Aadhaar Mobile Number, captcha, and hit the “Get OTP” button.

Step 3: Finish the registration procedure by entering the OTP obtained on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Using the Sahara Refund Portal

Step 1: On the ‘Depositor Login Screen,’ input your Aadhaar number’s last four digits, your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, the captcha, and click “Get OTP.”

Step 2 Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile phone.

Step 3: After logging in, the depositor will be presented with the Aadhaar Consent Screen. Proceed to the next page after accepting the terms and conditions by clicking the “I Agree” button.

Step 4: On the Personal Details Screen, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and click “Get OTP”. The depositor’s Aadhaar-linked mobile phone will get the OTP.

Step 5: Enter the OTP and click Verify OTP.

Step 6: Following OTP verification, the system provides Aadhaar user data such as First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Father/ Husband Name.

Step 7: The user may also input an email address, then click “Save Email” and then press the “Next” button.

Step 8: The depositor will input the information presented on the screen.

Step 9: After clicking the “Add Claim” button, the depositor will see all of the data in the grid below. The Depositor will be allowed to enter several Claim Details here.

Step 10: Once all Claim data has been input, generate a prefilled Claim Request Form.

Step 11: Attach the most current picture and sign across the photo and the Claim form.

Step 12: To the “Upload Documents” page, upload the Claim Form and a copy of your PAN Card. (A PAN Card is necessary if the claim amount is Rs.50,000 or more.

A thank you page will appear, along with a Claim Request Number. Please keep the Claim Request Number on file for future reference.

Download and print the Claim Form after checking the claimed data. Attach a recent photograph and sign over the picture and the Form.

Finally, scan the Claim Form, upload it, and submit it.

How will the depositor obtain his or her refund or claim amount?

The claimed amount will be credited immediately to the depositor’s Aadhaar seeded bank account 45 days following the successful claim submission.

How will the Depositor know whether or not the claim request has been approved?

In this respect, the depositor would be notified by SMS/Email.
